Value Added Tax is a tax that is required to be paid by customers who live within the European Union (EU).
Since Optimal Trader is based in Sweden, the VAT applied is 25% for European Union residents.
If you DO NOT live in a European Union member country you DO NOT have to pay VAT.
If you are purchasing for a company that is based inside the EU, but outside Sweden, and you provide your VAT-Id, no VAT will be added to your order. Order as usual and provide us your exemption number in the Information textbox, this must be valid and is checked, once confirmed we can then refund the VAT.
